Welcome to Mackenzie Labradors! Let me introduce you to our family: We have three children, two boys ages 14 and 12, one girl age 9. There is my husband of 19 years, Stacy and then myself, Kelly. My interest in breeding labs began several years ago. We purchased our first lab, Reese then two years later we added Fenway, then we just kept growing.

We currently have eleven dogs that we are or will be using in our breeding program. It is important to me that our dogs are treated like house pets first and foremost. So it may be crazy at times and we have dog hair in places we'd rather not but everyone is happy and content. Labs are people dogs, they like to be with you regardless of what your doing. 

The puppies are born and raised in our home and under our feet. When they are older they are moved to the puppy house where they have more room to run and play. Our three kids have so much to do with the socialization of the puppies. From birth onward they hold, cuddle, play and stimulate the puppies. This helps the pups to become accustomed to everyday family life. We expose them to the other pets in the house including the other dogs but also the cats and they may even get a chance to meet the bunnies. I vacuum around the litter and make common household noises so that when the pup joins their own family they will be well adjusted. We look for trainability, conformation, sociability in our own labs and their pups.
